| One of Monterey's favorite training areas, The coast guard pier (#2 on map) and adjacent break water make for a good relaxing dive. The area is extremely accessible and there is a fill station and dive store right on the pier. The dive spot features seals, otters and many other marine species playing in the thick kelp beds. |

| Everyone happy! Done with two days of certification dives, the group relaxes to add comments to their dive logs and a bite of lunch. Unfortunately Trevor, our other instructor, wasn't there to celebrate. He said he needed to conduct deep diver training that afternoon, but my guess is he was off nursing a kick to the head that I accidentally gave him during the morning dive! |
