What, me go to Cuba? Nope, Americans aren't allowed unless they have a special permit and I don't have a special permit. But I have a "friend" that went and he loved it.
It felt like the place had stopped in time. The people were warm and friendly and the life is simple and full. Although many things are hidden by the government, making the effort to get to know the locals and enjoy their way of life gives a little insight to the hardships they suffer but allows you to make new friends.
It's an amazing place, and I personally think more Americans should go and see for themselves. Here's a few pics that my "friend" took when he was there... |
